Corey Novick

Attorney | Doody Law Offices

Corey Novick

Corey Novick focuses his practice on real property taxation, assessment appeals, and administrative litigation. For 15 years he worked alongside respected property tax attorney Patrick Doody, and he now leads Doody Law Offices.

Corey has tried cases before the Illinois Property Tax Appeal Board (PTAB), represented clients in circuit court, and argued cases at Boards of Review across the State of Illinois. Although Corey focuses his practice on Illinois properties, he has also handled tax appeals across the Midwest region including Iowa, Michigan, and Wisconsin. His experience at every level of the appeal process gives property owners a clear understanding of their options and a strong advocate at each stage.

Before focusing on tax litigation, Corey built a broad legal background that included taking companies public, representing clients before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), and assisting domestic and international clients with business acquisitions and related transactions. That transactional and regulatory experience informs his practical, business-minded approach to property tax matters.
